Who I am

I am faith-based leader who acknowledges that as James Baldwin said, “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.” I have a passion and desire to grow teachers and build their capacity while creating a safe and desirable school climate and culture for learners. I have served in many leadership positions, but know that my greatest of those are the two within my own household as mother and wife.

Why I Joined BWEL

I started BWEL to create a platform for Black Women Education Leader voices to be amplified and respected in the education industry. My board and I desire to serve aspiring and practicing leaders in need of mentorship, coaching, and support.
