Who I amFirst and foremost, I am a child of God. A proud New Orleans native, I’ve
worked at every educational level as a teacher, adjunct professor, educational consultant, professional development specialist, and administrator. I received my BA and M. Ed degrees from the University of New Orleans and my doctorate degree in K-12 School Leadership was earned at Regent University in 2014. I currently serve as an administrator at the elementary level in Virginia, an adjunct Dissertation Chair at Regent University, a Curriculum Writer at Learning for Life, and an Instructional Leader at Defined Learning. In 2020 I started my own company, AmplifyED Educational Consulting to customize on-demand learning experiences for adults. Professionally, I am passionate about building the capacity of teachers, supporting emergent educational scholars, scholarly writing, researching, and serving. Personally, I enjoy reading big books, taking long walks, and short road trips. My greatest joy is spending time with my family - especially my husband Robin and our adorable doggie Boudreaux. Why I Joined BWELI joined BWEL because I believe in the collective value of Black women
leaders in education. We are all walking this journey to serve and impact the next generation of future leaders. As Proverbs 27: 17 states, iron sharpens iron. For me this means we can amplify our individual impact through our sisterhood. I want to be part of a platform that supports and promotes us. Finally, I want to surround myself with a group of dynamic like-minded professional black women who share this educational leadership journey. |

What I do for BWELI serve as a Board Member and PD Co-Chair for BWEL. I am passionate
about providing a space for black women to connect, collaborate, and become better together. While much of the professional development we attend in our roles is a job requirement, BWEL’s PD committee prides itself on providing experiences that meet the needs and interests of black women who lead in the educational sphere.
