Why I Joined BWEL
I was looking for an organization that could support me as a Black woman in educational leadership. An internet search led me to Black Women Education Leaders, Inc. A professional organization founded by, led by, supported by, and full of Black women in education who are truly about the work of advancing education and helping each other to grow was just what I was looking for. As National President, I now not only get to receive support and sisterhood, but I also get to give it as well.
